Greater Seattle Area
Originally a native of California, I acquired my bachelors degree in Applied Art and Design with a concentration in Graphic Design from Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo. My early influences in the industry were former-alumni Margot Chase, Milton Glaser, David Carson, Ivan Chermayeff, Paul Rand, Chip Kidd and Paula Scher. Since than I have held a number of in-house positions from a production designer to an agency Creative Director. I have applied my talents within a wide range of industries such as the music industry, wine and restaurant industries, academic field, book publishing, commercial advertising, and web development — all while simultaneously maintaining my own business as a freelance graphic designer.
When all is said and done, I have been honing my skills as a graphic designer for over 26 years and currently reside in the greater Seattle area with my wife Happy, and two sons; Dayton and Dylan.
I have been blessed to have many of my creative endeavors win accolades and awards, from PRINT‘s Regional Design Annual and Communication Arts, to Addy, Summit, and Comminicator Awards. But designing for awards isn’t what drives me. Providing the best customer service, using my creative juice to design just the right solution, and having clients that are totally jazzed about working with me is better than any honorable mention from the industry.
In a nutshell, I am a huge brand proponent and strive to build a client-base that has a high value on the importance of their visual marketing and branding, and don't want to cut corners. And since we can't get to know more about each other over coffee or a beer, here are some random facts about me.
